As an Oral Health Therapist, Atefa provides routine dental hygiene treatment for all ages and dental therapy treatment for children and young adolescents. Atefa is passionate about providing the best dental care for all her patients. Her patients describe her as gentle and caring who provides oral health solutions at an individual level.

Atefa graduated from Charles Sturt University as an Oral Health Therapist in 2014, with distinction average. She received the Charles Sturt Executive University Deans award in both 2013 and 2014 for academic excellence. She also received the 2014 Dental Hygienist Association of Australia Award for demonstrating outstanding skills and commitment to dental hygiene and achieving excellent grades in the bachelor of oral health throughout the degree.

Upon finishing her degree, Atefa went on to develop her skills as a clinician by finishing a graduate year program with Sydney University, working in and around Northern Central Tablelands. During this time, she worked with many anxious patients, including children and those with special needs.

Atefa has experience working in both public and private sector, and her commitment in continued professional development allows her to provide up-to-date dental treatment for her patients. She continually attends seminars to keep up to date with current research and technique in dentistry for Oral Healthy Therapists. Some courses include minimal intervention, periodontal management of implants, and modern techniques for dental hygienists, airway and its relationship to the mouth.

She is particularly interested in airway problems in children and its relationship in malocclusion of teeth and its early intervention and prevention. In her spare time, Atefa loves spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, swimming, and playing volleyball and tennis.
